Teddy Love --DT Subha Vivek

Hello Quillers,

This is Subha Vivek  from SV Handmades.  I am really excited and feeling wonderful to be part of the DT team at  Indian Quilling Challenges Group.  Crafting is my first LOVE. I am also passionate about Gardening, Photography and Teaching. Who does not love teddy bears?  I am no exception. I decided to quill Teddy Bears in Love for the DT post in the theme MY LOVE MY PASSION.

My passion for quilling, and love for teddy bears  has come together along with a floral arch.

I printed out a outline picture of the teddybear. Coloured it and then quilled on top of it.
The whole of the teddy bears are done with crimped quilling strips to give the furry effect.

Quilling Techniques used
                  1.Crimping
                  2. Edgework
                  3. Tight Coil
                  4. Teardrop
                  5. Beehive

I have used the same as a part of the photo layout for a couple's 5 year journey of LOVE.  For more pictures and details hop on to my blog SV Handmades

Beauty of the Deep

Hello friends,
I am Shweta here
This is my new Quilled Artwork, "Beauty of the Deep". I have always been passionate about nature's beauty. The beauty of nature can have a profound effect upon our senses, whether it results in disbelief in its very existence, awe, wonder or amazement. Deep seas have always been magical, mysterious and beautiful.

The theme is "My passion my Love." I am most passionate about nature's beauty and my crafts. There was no better way, than to depict my love of nature through my passion for quilling. I have made an effort to capture this beauty as per my vision. For this I made small corals in various shapes and designs. Aquatic plants were also an important part of this design. To complete the look starfish and sea horses were made.
Seahorses took so much of my time as I wanted them to be perfect. To give a complete look of the deep seas, I painted a dull background on blue cardstock. Finally I added all the elements in the desired pattern. The quote was added to express the nature of the deep seas, "The Ocean is everything I want to be, Beautiful, Mysterious, wild and free." I hope you enjoy all the pictures.

Quilled Valentine Decor - DT Ramya

Hello everyone,
I am Ramya from Artconquers. I am happy and delighted to be the part of IQCG Design team. Theme for this month is My passion, My love. I have designed a Quilled wall décor to show my love and passion towards art and photography. Though I am a Software engineer by profession however art and photography has always been my passion which makes me happy from stressful IT job.

I created a heart shaped wall décor so that I can use it as a backdrop for my “Princess” Valentine photo shoot.

I made a video tutorial for this Quilled wall décor and subscribe to my Channel Artconquers for more videos.

Winner will receive the framed bubble die from Shylaa.

Music and Guitar - DT Ishani

Hello dear friends,

I am Ishani from Quillish and I would want to know if you've played at the Indian Quilling challenge yet?  Or may be you are planning something? The theme this month is my passion my love.
I have a clean and simple take on this challenge with my passion and love - Music & guitar! Not many in the crafting community know that I sing and play guitar and thanks to the challenge I made something for myself.

For this I stamped the treble from a stamp by CAS-ual fridays - Big Treble. For the treble and I did selective stamping as I needed the loop on the top of the treble to be straight. I did some free hand strokes to give a definition of a guitar and used a dark brown 5 mm strip for the edge work quilling.

The stamp has a heart, so I die cut a heart and mounted it on double layer of foam tape
 to finish my piece.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you like my work and will play along with your passion and love.

The eARTh without ART is just 'Eh'

Hello Crafty Friends,

I really had a looong break from blogging, but back again as a DT member of my favourite challenge yet again.

This month at IQCG we are playing with the theme My Passion, My Love. What a wonderful way to start the crafting year. Although I started my crafting journey with Quilling, I have absolutely fallen in love with art journaling and mixed media over the past few months. So, for this theme I decided to combine the two and create a mini canvas.

Its a beautiful theme to work on and I am sure we are going to see a lot of amazing projects. Click here to link your creations.

Winner will receive this awesome Bubbles Frame Die from Shylaa.

Thanks and Happy Crafting!!

You know what they say, "Dance is art in motion!"

Hello Craft lovers,

I'm Geetanjali Agrawal and my passion for art and craft has led me to start my own venture 'Geet's Craft Studio'. I hope to please you all with my designs and learn from all of you!

When I got this theme, I got to thinking, how do I quill my passion of crafts? After much brainstorming, I realised that art should not be restricted to pen and paper. Art can be found in anything, and thus, I have tried to give a snapshot of art by quilling one of the most beloved dance forms of India - Kathak!

Now the stage is open for all of you to showcase your talent and win exciting goodies from Shylaa.

Chocolate is my passion by CathyS

Hi all,
I am cathy here, I am super excited to be able to share my quilling with you as part of the Design Team. My friends all know that I am a certified chocoholic so when this challenge came up I knew immediately what I was going to make... my very own box of chocolates.

I quilled the different chocolate shapes in light and dark browns and added touches of white as well. The background is made with stamping the sentiment and then heat embossing it in clear. I inked all the squares around the edge in various shades of blue - my favourite colour.

This whole piece fits inside a chocolate box that I kept from the while stash of chocolates I received last year for my birthday.

They definitely look good enough to eat.

Winner will receive the Framed Bubble die from Shylaa.
