IQCG Challenge No.12 - Anything goes with Thank you

Hi Friends,

A very happy new year and Happy Republic day( Indian friends) to u all!
It's a great honour to be a part of  this awesome challenge. There are very few challenge blogs for quilling only and I appreciate Shylaa for taking up this initiative so nicely. Thanks Shylaa for this chance to design for IQCG!.I am super excited.
When I first started quilling in 2011, I was in intensive search for a challenge blog where I could get inspiration and a chance to showcase my work( but there were hardly any), now I feel the freshers in quilling world get a good chance for the same. Thumbs up!

So coming to this month's challenge it's all about saying thank you. More details click here .

Here is my take on it. I have made an abstract design layout for framing and a thank you card for a friend to say thank u for all she has done to me. Hope you all like it , get inspired and submit your creations soon.

Winner will get prize from Crafters Corner online store

IQCG Challenge No.12 - Anything goes with Thank you

Hi Guys,

I am Shruti from Eenzy Beenzy and I am very glad to be a part of the DT for IQCG 2015. A heart felt 'Thank you' dear Shylaa for having confidence in me to inspire others with my creations. Eenzy Beenzy for me has always been about spreading happiness and smiles and I hope I am able to sprinkle some of it here!

The awesome DT here is doing a fabulous job to keep everyone inspired with their creations. If you have been thinking to work on your creative side - its the perfect time to get inspired and take the first step.

Here is the card I made - A pretty simple one to start with. I used light tones of pink and mauve to give it a soft look and the pearls add to the elegance.
I used my printer to type the sentiment - The font I used is lavanderia.

Here is a closer look at the flowers - In my opinion quilling is all about patience! Even if it is a simple flower - if done neatly will look perfect.

I hope this gives you enough inspiration to get started - Submit your entry either to our facebook album or email us indianquillingchallenge(at)gmail(dot)com

Winner will get gift from Crafterscorner

Looking forward to have a look at your lovely creations.

Happy Quilling,

Hi firends ,

"HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR ALL OF YOU ,and THANKS TO SHYLAASHREE for giving me opportunity to be on design team board.

So on this new start and in beginning of new month we all came in front of you with very simple challenge 'anything goes with thank you " .

Our excellent DT's have presented nice creation till now.....Leave your lovely comments, to their creations.

Today its my turn , so,since its marriage season here in India , I created a envelope with sentiment "thanks" and quilling and a little mix media , I created background of envelope with fevicol art.just simply made circles with fevicol cone to give texture, and then distressed with faber castel water colour pencils.Quilled flowers ,buds and leaves are made of 3mm strips and they are called "pit flowers".Lace and oval diecut also used to enhance envelope.

All quilling lovers are welcomed to joined our challenge , come on guys !!!!!!!!!!!

IQCG -- Indian Quilling Challenge No. 12- Anything Goes With Thank you

Hello friends!

Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and a creative new year.

This is Jasleen from Happily Ever Crafter and I'm glad to be on the Design Team for IQCG 2015. Thanks Shylaa Shree for this opportunity.

January is the month to start afresh, to bring in more energy into all aspects of your lives and to get on with a new vigour and determination. What better way, than to start it with gratitude! So, this month's theme is to create something, anything, with 'Thank you' being the main sentiment.

So, for everyone who has been a source of great support and inspiration to me, I'm sharing a 'Thank you' card dedicating to all such people in my life.

Here's my card:

Closer view

I have made a quilled peacock using 3 mm quilling strips in various shades of blue and green. Some yellows and whites have been added for highlights.

I'm a big fan of Yulia Brodskaya's work and my quilling is inspired from her works. I love her flawless style of shaping paper to form an abstract art.

So, how do you like my card with quilling? Are you getting any new ideas? Do not hesitate to start now if you still haven't. Quilling is a beautiful and addictive hobby and you will fall in love with it. Can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Do check out the awesome inspiration provided by the DT until now. I'm sure you will love them. :)

Please share your work here>>> IQGC Challenge No. 12 Facebook album.

Happy January ! :)

IQCG Challenge No.12 - Anything goes with Thank you

Hi Friends!
This is Aditi from PaperCreationsByAditi. Thanks Shyla for giving me this opportunity to be a member of design team for the Indian quilling challenges.

This is my first post as Design team member for the IQCG. The theme which was chosen by the DT's is ‘
Anything goes with Thank you which is a month long challenge.

When I sat down to think about thank you, my parents are the first one to come to my mind. In last many years I haven’t said explicitly thank you to them so I decided to make something related to parents with thanks.

Next thing was to decide what to make. I have decided on the words first. As I want to thank them for their support so tree comes to my mind.  So decides to quill tree with birds.

So here's what I made....

I was not satisfied with the tree above so added more leaves at the top part.

Hope I have inspired you to start with the ideas.

Looking forward to see your entries :) Post your entries to IQCG Challenge No.12 Album

Lots of love and Hugs
Aditi

IQCG Challenge No.12 - Anything goes with Thank you

Dear Quillers,

On behalf IQCG team, I wish you all a very Happy New year. Let this year be more crafty for us and we shall learn more.

Over to our challenge.

'Thank you' is the best prayer that anyone could say. None of us got to where we are alone.Whether the assistance we received was obvious or subtle, acknowledging someone's help is a big part of understanding the importance of saying thank you. It expresses extreme gratitude, humility, understanding. Feeling good about life and not telling thank you for that is like packing a gift for someone and never giving it to them.

Hence, you got a point now, This month we all shall thank God for what we are here and everyone.

Here is my inspiration to you all. Quilled thank you typography.
