New DTs of 2018

I am Ashamol Sathyan from Dubai. I started with art and craft as a hobby. Slowly it became a part of my life. Every day I try to experiment and create new things. Most of my products are made out of paper.Paper quilling, paper punch craft, decoupage, stock flowers, paper flowers, paper jewellery, quilled jewellery, gift items, greeting cards, tags, bottle art and more are easy for this self-taught homemaker.

I am Geetanjali Agrawal, a Commerce Graduate based in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, specializing in paper art. As a kid, I always had a passion to draw and paint.I have never had professional training for Quilling. Internet tutorials and my own will to make something unique made me what I am today. I still remember when I made my first card. I couldn’t even get quilling strips, yet I managed by cutting colored sheets of paper into thin strips. In the first few months, I focused on quilling jewelry and other small trinkets but then, my sister gave me an idea to try my hand on paintings. The first painting I made received a lot of accolades, which gave me the confidence to open my studio. After that, there was no stopping me.

I am Ishani, an Air Force Officer by profession and a mom to a two year old son. We live in a small place near Jamnagar, Gujarat. My crafting journey started around three years back with quilling, when a friend gifted me a quilling set. Since then, crafting has become meditation for me. I am more of a card maker and love to incorporate the humble paper strips on my cards. I love trying new techniques but I bend towards Clean and Simple style. I believe quilling is an evolving art and the versatility of paper strips give us a lot of options to explore.
