Hi crafty followers,
The challenge for the month of May at IQCG is to quill a butterfly. Who does not love butterflies? And so do I. I have a butterfly garden in my backyard and I thoroughly enjoy my summer months watching these flutterby’s. There are innumerable colours and patterns found in this fairy tale insects. And here is my inspiration for you.
Recent addition to my craft space is CRICUT machine. Just learning to use it and I thought this is the best opportunity to put my cricut to use. I cut out a butterfly in black cardstock.
Blue is always dreamy. And so I decided to quill my butterfly in blue. Blue is mesmerizing and mystic.
I used two different shades of blue to quill over it. Made some highlights with white gel pen and my blue butterfly is bubbling with life. Isn’t it beautiful?

Your butterfly is gorgeous. What a great idea to use a die cut as a pattern base. Blue rocks. Hugz
